Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Nairobi

Your Amboseli National Park Adventure begins upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. After a warm welcome, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided city tour, visiting key attractions such as the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you can meet orphaned elephants, and the Giraffe Centre, home to the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Savor a traditional Kenyan dinner at a local restaurant before settling in for your first night in Nairobi.

Day 2:
Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

On the second day, depart early for Amboseli National Park, a journey of approximately 4-5 hours that offers scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After arriving, enjoy lunch at your lodge or tented camp. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive, where you’ll have the chance to see Amboseli’s famous elephant herds against the stunning backdrop of the mountain. Day 3:
Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Start your day with an early morning game drive to catch the wildlife at their most active. After lunch, set out for another game drive in the park, exploring different areas and spotting various wildlife. Day 4:
Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, a journey of about 5-6 hours. Stop for lunch along the way at a local restaurant. Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon game drive, where you can witness the stunning landscapes and unique wildlife, including flocks of flamingos and the endangered black and white rhinos. As the sun sets over the lake, enjoy breathtaking views before returning to your lodge for dinner.

Day 5:
Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara

On day five, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru before departing for Maasai Mara, approximately a 5-6 hour drive. Arrive in Maasai Mara for lunch at your lodge or camp, then set out for your first game drive in this world-renowned reserve. Known for its incredible wildlife and the Great Migration (seasonal), Maasai Mara offers a thrilling safari experience. Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 6:
Full Day in Maasai Mara

Start your day with an early morning game drive to enjoy the sights and sounds of the savannah at dawn. After breakfast, you can choose to participate in optional activities like a hot air balloon ride over the stunning landscape (additional cost). After lunch at the lodge, head out for another game drive to explore the vast reserve and search for the “Big Five.” Enjoy a delightful dinner at your lodge, reflecting on the day’s adventures.

Day 7:
Departure from Maasai Mara to Nairobi

On your final day, savor a last morning game drive in Maasai Mara, taking in the last sights of the incredible wildlife. After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, which takes approximately 5-6 hours. Stop for lunch en route and arrive in Nairobi, where you can transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight. Alternatively, extend your stay in Nairobi to explore more of this vibrant city.
