Itinerary

Day 1:
Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

Your journey begins with a scenic morning drive from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha, located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch with stunning lake views. In the afternoon, embark on a serene boat ride across Lake Naivasha, where you’ll spot hippos basking in the waters and a variety of birds. The adventure continues with a guided walking safari on Crescent Island, where you can walk freely among grazing giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in their natural habitat. As the day winds down, you’ll return to your lodge for a relaxing dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort or a similar luxury lodge.

Day 2:
Lake Naivasha – Hell’s Gate National Park

After breakfast, you’ll set off for a morning visit to Hell’s Gate National Park, famous for its dramatic cliffs, gorges, and geothermal activity. You can choose to explore the park on foot or by bike, discovering its unique landscapes and encountering wildlife such as buffalo, gazelles, and baboons. After an invigorating morning, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch. The afternoon offers time to unwind, perhaps with some optional activities like birdwatching or a horseback ride along the lake. As the sun sets, enjoy a laid-back dinner and overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort.

Day 3:
Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

On the third day, you’ll depart after breakfast for Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s most famous parks, celebrated for its stunning pink flamingos and rich wildlife. As you enter the park, a mid-morning game drive offers your first chance to spot the park’s famous residents, including rhinos, lions, buffalo, and waterbucks, all set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Nakuru. Upon arrival at your lodge, you’ll have time to relax and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive to witness the vast flocks of flamingos and other birds that adorn the lake’s shores. Day 4:
Lake Nakuru to Lake Bogoria

Day four begins with an early breakfast before setting out for Lake Bogoria, known for its stunning concentration of flamingos and geothermal hot springs. Upon arrival, you’ll explore the lake’s shores, marveling at the sight of thousands of flamingos feeding and taking flight over the water. The natural hot springs and geysers that dot the lake provide an impressive backdrop to this unique setting. Day 5:
Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

Your final day begins with a relaxed breakfast, followed by a farewell game drive as you exit Lake Nakuru National Park. This last game drive offers one more chance to spot the park’s diverse wildlife before making your way back to Nairobi. You’ll arrive in the early afternoon, just in time for a farewell lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, you’ll be transferred to your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable 5-day Rift Valley Lakes Safari adventure.
