Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Nairobi and Transfer to Shaba National Reserve

Your adventure begins upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. After clearing customs, you’ll meet your friendly tour guide for a briefing about the exciting journey ahead. Depart for Shaba National Reserve, a scenic 5-hour drive that offers glimpses of the beautiful Kenyan countryside. Once you arrive at Shaba, check in to your lodge or tented camp and enjoy a delicious lunch while soaking in the stunning views of the reserve. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive to explore the diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, and various antelope species. Day 2:
Full Day in Shaba National Reserve

Start your day with an early breakfast to energize for a morning game drive. This is a perfect opportunity to see wildlife as they become active in the cooler hours of the day. After your thrilling adventure, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, join a guided nature walk led by knowledgeable guides, where you’ll learn about the local flora and fauna. As the evening approaches, embark on a sunset game drive, capturing the breathtaking beauty of the landscape bathed in golden light. Return to your lodge for dinner, where you can share stories and experiences with fellow travelers.

Day 3:
Transfer to Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and set off for Samburu National Reserve, located just 1.5 hours away. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and enjoy lunch with views of the picturesque surroundings. In the afternoon, head out for an exciting game drive in Samburu. Keep your eyes peeled for the “Samburu Five” — the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and beisa oryx. After a day of exploration, return to your lodge for dinner and relax to the sounds of the African night.

Day 4:
Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading out for another morning game drive. This is a fantastic chance to capture stunning photographs of the wildlife and landscapes. After returning to your lodge for lunch, visit a local Samburu village to experience the rich culture and traditions of the Samburu people. Day 5:
Departure and Return to Nairobi

On your final day, enjoy an early breakfast and embark on one last game drive in Samburu National Reserve. After your game drive, check out of your lodge and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant en route, savoring traditional Kenyan cuisine. Upon arriving in Nairobi, you’ll transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey or departure flight, carrying with you unforgettable memories of your adventure in Northern Kenya.
